ONLY A PAVEMENT AWAY: Petersham Nurseries recently started their journey with Only A Pavement Away charity which opened our eyes to a problem that is visible but other not seen. Around 4700 people sleep on the streets every night. London and south east account for almost a quarter of all rough sleepers with 51% of those recorded in London reporting experience of the armed forces, care or prison. The average life expectancy of a rough sleeper is 46 years old. Between now and 2024, the hospitality industry will need to recruit around 1.3 million employees and around 300.00 of these roles will be new positions. We believe that it is our responsibility to include those that need our support into our recruitment and development strategy. We would like to invite our hospitality friends to learn about this amazing project.
A charity founded by representatives from the hospitality industry. We act as a conduit to help those people struggling to get into work overcome hurdles by finding jobs within the hospitality, pub and restaurant industry. Our initial focus was on helping the Homeless and those sleeping rough including those having to “sofa hop” we now work with ex-service personnel, ex-offenders and those with learning difficulties. Our aim is to act as a conduit to employment whilst negating the need for people to face an existence of living on the streets. We believe that everyone deserves an opportunity and a chance to forge a career. Our industry is an exciting one built on people.

Crisis is the UK national charity for homeless people. The charity offers year-round education, employment, housing and well-being services from centres in London, Newcastle, Oxford, Edinburgh and Merseyside, called Crisis Skylight Centres.

4. Occasionally, events are cancelled or postponed by the promoter, team, performer or venue for a variety of reasons. If the event is cancelled, please contact us for information on receiving a refund from the responsible party. If the event was moved or rescheduled, the venue or promoter may set refund limitations. It is your responsibility to ascertain the date and time of any rearranged event.
5. The venue reserves the right to refuse admission and may on occasion have to conduct security searches to ensure the safety of the patrons.
6. Every effort to admit latecomers will be made at a suitable break in the event, but admission cannot always be guaranteed.
7. We regret that tickets cannot be exchanged or refunded after purchase.
8. Tickets are sold subject to the venue or promoter's right to alter or vary the programme due to events or circumstances beyond its control without being obliged to refund monies or exchange tickets.
9. If this ticket is re-sold or transferred for profit or commercial gain by anyone other than the promoter, venue management, DesignMyNight or one of their authorised sub-agents, it will become voidable and the holder may be
refused entry to or ejected from the venue.
10. The venue may operate a No Smoking Policy.
11. The promoter, venue management and DesignMyNight accept no responsibility for any personal property.
